Just click here:

And if you have diigital pictures of Lavallette you think appropriate, send them along to gosta@SwedesDock.com. The larger the size (in pixels) the better. I will resize them as appropiate. Pics smaller than 800x600 really don't display well.

This forum is not only of interest to Lavallette residents. I will always be a Jersey Girl and Lavallette is always in my heart and I am always interested in what is going on there.
Just wanted to say thanks for the site, Swede. It looks like it could be very easy and very interesting.
Hope all is well in Lavallette!

Hi Nancy,
Welcome to the Forum.
:):)Congratulations!!! too.:):) You are the very first poster on the entire Forum. {big happy grin} (Note the Smiley Faces I used here will probably be the very last I ever use too. I think they are "girly" but I used them just to show how happy I am someone finally posted something somewhere.)
There are probably really big prizes and rewards somewhere in the future but for now it will just have to be the stuff you tell your grandchildren about years into the future. {grin}.
Hey I got an idea. Why don't you:
Click on UserCP
then "Edit Profile"
then fill in "First Official Forum Poster" in the "Custom User Title" box (Scroll down a little to see it).

We have the ugliest Christmas lights--thats what people say to me a lot-why cant we have nice ones like other towns??Why cant we??I have no idea who would be in charge of that sort of thing but the ones we have dont look like anything-people think they are dolphins,lanterns,etc-I do believe they are lanterns but horrible--couldnt we have snowflakes or as in Myrtle Beach and Virginia Beach -starfish,shells etc-on each pole--it would be so much more impressive!!!!

Thanks for fixing my "title", Swede.....it is an honor, indeed, to have been the first poster on your new forum.
Regarding another post that I read and your response. As a resident of Lavallette for over 30 years, I cannot believe that there are no posts on here because everything is honky-dory in Lavallette. There is always something brewing...maybe people are just not interested in "fighting it out" on the web anymore. However, with that said, I do believe that Carol is correct.....the Christmas lights are ugly.....with all the beautification and user-friendly projects that some members of Council are always pushing, you would think new Christmas lights would be one of them....maybe next year??

I apologize to Forum members but two pornography posters joined up and posted nasty pictures (immediately removed as soon I was made aware of them. Thx Carol for the heads up.). I am exploring how to prevent it in the future.
There must be some "approval" options and I will find them tonight.

Okay. Found a couple options I *hope* will prevent a recurrence. Plus found a couple potential spammers had signed up.(***@*.ru - Russian server addresses which are notorious for spamming).
Hopefully there won't be any recurrences.
Again, my apologies. - Swede
