Hi,
If you are new to VB Forums, here's a couple tips to get started:
First there are different Forums here (Entrance Way, An American Cares, Using the Forum (the one you are on now), ...)
Next in each Forum there are "Threads". Threads are merely topics that posts are grouped under. (This thread is called "Posting tips" for example).
Then under each Thread are the individual posts (like this one).
1) When you are reading a "Thread" (which is a series of posts under one heading) and you would like to add to the discussion, Click on the "Post Reply" button at the bottom of the Thread.
An edit box will open up and you can just type your reply. Standard text formatting buttons appear at the top of he edit box. If you want to insert a "Smiley Face" anywhere in the message click on one at the right of the box {Lord, I hate those "cutsey" things - grin}.
When finished with the post, there are two buttons underneath the edit box - "Submit" & "Preview Post". Click one and you are in business. Note it's a good idea to Preview the post before Submitting it. That way you can make edits before anyone else sees it.
2) If you would like to start a new Thread (another discussion topic) in a Forum, just click on the "New Thread" button at the top or bottom of the forum. Make SURE SURE SURE the Title is correct and descriptive (say exactly what you want) before you Submit it. Titles are not editable once a Thread (or post) is Submitted.
3) If you want to change the text of a post you have already submitted, just click the "Edit" button at the bottom of your post.
If you have any questions about posting, just ask here and someone will answer pretty quickly (I hope).
