There are a number of things you can do (none of which will cost you any money) if you think this is an idea whose time has come:

Spread the word about the PARCs. Heres a few ways:
- Clip and copy the URL
  http://www.exit109.com/~gosta/parc.sht
  and post it wherever other people will see it and tell them it's a worthwhile cause. Environmental sites, Recreational sites, Chat sites, Links to here from other sites......
- Call the radio talk shows, tell them about it. Get them involved or at least interested.
- Write your Congressmen and ask them to sponsor/support PARC legislation. Better (and more effective yet), contact your local and/or state legislators and ask them to contact the Congressmen from their districts. Your letter to a Congressman is likely to generate a form reply from a low level aide. A letter from a "fellow legislator" will require personal interest from the Congressman himself.
  This is probably the single most effective thing you can do.

- Three Points to make when you communicate to any (or all) of the above:
  1. It is NOT a coercive program like most government edicts ("You MUST comply immediately or be fined or shut down or ....."). It provides a reasonable vehicle for industry to act responsibly.
  2. It is self-sustaining and provides a mechanism for pollution funding far into the future. It reduces incentive for industry to move offshore to escape environmental regulations, not only saving jobs here but creating clean jobs here at home.
  3. After the ten year sunset (expiration of the tax), there is no further burden to the taxpayers. And even that burden will have been insignificant.
    Further only those who cause the pollution pay for cleaning/abating it. We all benefit. I.e., cleaner air, cleaner water, healthier lives, .....

Click on the buttons below to send email directly to Senator Kerrey (NA) and/or Vice President Gore. Both are "Environmentalists" and almost surely will be receptive to the PARC proposal. Be sure to include your own comments.

To get their attention via email will take certainly hundreds, if not thousands, of emails so get as many people as you can to send to them. (Please, Please, Please don't send more than 1 a day to any from the same person. "Spamming" will defeat the purpose. You'll (and the PARC as well) just be ignored as a nuisance.)

Print out the PARC proposal and distribute it to the "Cyber Challenged". (As of April 22, I will have personally sent out well over 100 printed copies to legislators, Environmental groups, etc. At my own expense.)

Bookmark this page and come back often, even every day, (with the above in mind) to send them an email reminder (Squeaky wheel and all that). Numbers are the name of the game in politics and we have to generate numbers.

********* Note ************* If you want to send more than one Email from this page and I hope you will, the easiest way to do it is:

Fill in your name address, etc.
Add your comments.
Highlight all the text from "SENDER'S NAME:" to the bottom of your comments.
Copy it to your "clipboard" (Click on "Edit" then "Copy" - Or you can Shift-Delete. It's quicker)
Click the Send button.
After getting the acknowledgement page, click your "BACK" button.
Scroll down to the next letter, position your cursor at the first letter of the box (just before "SENDER'S NAME" insert the copy from your clipboard. (Click on "Edit" then "Paste" - Or you can Shift-Insert. It's quicker). Don't worry about sending two copies of the headers. It's not a big deal in the email world.
Go to #3 and repeat the process for as many "Votes" as you want to send. (Actually you could go right back to #7 and then click on the send bar, as the clipped info will still be in your clipboard.)
